Oatmeal Cookies
Makes 5 doz.
1 1/4 C all purpose flour
1/2 t baking soda
1 C margarine softened
1/8 C granulated sugar
3/4 C granulated lt. brn sugar
1 pkg Jello Vanilla Instant pudding and pie filling
2 eggs
1 C raisins
3 1/2 C quick cooking rolled oats
Mix flour with baking soda. Combine the sugars, butter and pudding. Mix in a lrg mixing bowl; beat until smooth and creamy. Beat in eggs. Gradually add flour mixture; then stir in oats and raisins. Drop in rounded tspfuls onto ungreased baking sheets about 2 in. apart. Bake t 375ยบ for 10 – 12 min.
OLD FASHIONED QUAKER OATS FAMOUS
OATMEAL COOKIES
3/4 c. shortening, soft
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 c. granulated sugar.
1 egg
1/4 c. water
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. soda
3 c. oats, uncooked
Beat shortening, sugars, egg, water and vanilla together until creamy. Stir together flour, salt and soda; add to creamed mixture, blend well. Stir in oats. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets. Bake in preheated moderate oven (350 degrees) for 12 to 15 minutes. Bay oven = 16 min
